Railways and photography have gone side by side for many years. The railways can offer so many opportunities to the photographer be it amateur or professional. People, architecture and of course the engines and rolling stock. Standard or narrow gauge the opportunities are endless.
Two things to remember though, NEVER trespass or go trackside without permission and if you do visit preserved railways ALWAYS buy something in the gift shop or pop some money in any collection tin. Preserved railways rely on sales and donations to survive.
