Bruntingthorpe Lightnings
The Lightning preservation group based at Bruntingthorpe in Leicestershire own two Lightning F6 jets.
XS904/BQ and XR728/JS. These two aircraft were acquired by the group in 1993 and 1988 respectively and have been in their charge ever since.
As a means of raising revenue to pay for the erection of the ex-Wattisham QRA shed the group have been organising photo shoots at twilight when XS904 is run up and the after burners engaged. Weather permitting the aircraft is also fast taxied down the main runway which is a truly awesome experience.
It was at a number of these photo shoots that these photographs were taken.
