Fully powered up the test pilot waits for clearance to start engines. Air defence is a business that never stands still. As soon as a combat jet matures its replacement is already on the drawing board. In this case the EAP which went on to become the Eurofighter Typhoon. This example now leads a very sheltered life within the museum but is seen here on a rare occasion outside the hangar.
