A heat haze hangs behind the valiant little Wasp as it takes to the sky for its next mission. Wasps were used extensively by the British Royal Navy and despite their diminutive size could pack quite a punch with anti ship missiles. In 1982 during the Falklands war a Wasp engaged an enemy submarine with a missile and damaged it so badly the crew surrendered. Today XT787 enjoys a more peaceful existence flying the air show circuit.
