IN THRUST WE TRUST

Hot gas pours from under the aircraft as the Spanish pilot returns home from his mission. The Harrier relies on a single well proven Rolls Royce Pegasus engine for both forward thrust and vertical lift. Here the engine exhausts are angled nearly vertical giving maximum lift and a small amount of forward motion.
