With vapour streaming from its wingtips the Tornado banks hard to port and lines up head on to the photographer. Looking through the lens and being head on with a combat jet is the ultimate rush for any aviation photographer. At this point you have to put your faith in the camera’s autofocus and press the shutter release. In a matter of seconds the jet will pass over you with an almighty roar! We sit on the mountain for hours, sometimes in horrible weather but these few seconds make it so worthwhile.
