I am starting off 2023 with a new gallery, In and around Dinorwig

The pictures in the gallery were shot back in September 2022 using a Nikon film camera and Ilford black and white film. The film gives a grainy finish compared to modern digital images but it also adds a sense of age to the image. I did shoot some images with digital and I will upload some in due course.
Dinorwig is a huge slate quarry in north Wales very near the town of Llanberis. Up until the 60's slate was quarried in the Dinorwig complex before being taken by train to Port Dinorwic and onwards to customers around the world.
