Plans for the year ahead.
13/03/2023
Finally we are into March and thoughts turn to the spring, better weather (hopefully!) and days out.
So, whats planned for the year ahead? The big event is obviously RIAT at Fairford, and as usual I have my 6 day ticket booked and paid for. The big question is who will be attending and what will they bring? Sadly, with the ongoing war in Ukraine many nations will understandably be careful what they commit to public displays but we can only hope for a solution to this crisis as soon as possible and a return to normality.
I now have tickets booked for Saturday at Midland Air Festival, Ragley Hall. This will be my third season at Ragley and I have to say it is developing into an excellent event. There is always a diverse selection of aircraft attending mostly classic but some modern as well.
A first for me will be doing Flywheel at Bicester Heritage also in June. This is not my first visit to Bicester but certainly this is a new event to me. Flywheel offers a day of classic cars, bikes and aircraft in a very pleasant location so hopefully it should be a good weekend.
Added to the above will be hopefully events around the Midland Hillclimb championship plus hopefully some shoots as well.
For 2023 we have invested in a side awning for the car, mainly this is for days out getting away from it all but it may be used in conjunction with events as well. Depending how we get on with it this may need a blog post in it’s own right! (watch this space) If it proves successful we may go one step further and get a roof tent for overnight camping but that won’t be for a while.
Well thats our plans so far, whatever you are doing I hope it goes well for you.
